The Stand in Laguna Beach

The Stand is a mandatory stop when visiting Laguna Beach. It’s a cute little restaurant not too far from the beach. It’s completely vegan and it has been operating for 41 years. It has a good SoCal vibe.

They offer a large menu with soups, salads, bowls, sandwiches, burritos, cookies and fresh squeezed juices including wheat grass. It’s great for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

On our recent visit,  my husband ordered a Carrot & Apple Juice and a Bean, Rice, Guacamole Burrito. I ordered their half sandwich special ( a cup of Lentil Soup and the Avocado Sandwich with tomatoes, romaine lettuces, alfalfa sprouts and guacamole with lemon herb dressing). To drink, I had a Piña Colada made with raw coconut milk, pineapple and frozen bananas. It was simple and delicious.

They have limited outdoor sitting, a few 2-person tables and a communal table under a big Tree with some interesting reads. You can eat here OR enjoy your food at the beach!

This book (from the communal table) was pretty accurate!

Some people have trouble finding parking near The Stand. This has never been an issue for me. I am not posting where I park so you don’t steal my spot :-p

Great food. Good service. Affordable prices. Close to the beach. Socal vibes!
